The Michigan Republican Party today posted a YouTube video asking Barack Obama “Why did you boycott Michigan for so long? They also charge that “You stiffed our voters” and “You insulted our way of life” (replaying the “bitter” Americans audio bite). What? None of Reverend Wright’s greatest hits? (Wait until October.)
Most analysts looking at the Democratic party’s remaining primary schedule conclude that it’s going to be very difficult for Hillary Clinton to surpass Barack Obama in elected delegates and popular vote if Michigan and Florida don’t hold new elections. Although Florida has already thrown in the towel, the Michigan situation is still unresolved. Senator Clinton knows the score. That’s why she’s speaking in Detroit today.

Mitt Romney is starting to run ads for the January 15, 2008 Michigan primary. In this 30-second spot, featuring a photo of his father, Governor George Romney (who marched with Martin Luther King — figuratively, that is), Mitt says “It’s inexcusable that Michigan is undergoing a one-state recession.”
