No, no, no

Fox News has a field day with Obama saying we can’t drive our SUVs. I think it’s more troubling that he says we can’t eat as much as we want.

McCain’s green speech

John McCain goes to greenland, Oregon, to present his environmental plan.

Sound bite: “Whether we call it climate change or global warming, in the end, we’re all left with the same set of facts.” That is, he says, a likelihood of less water, more storms, less food.

Sound bite: “We know that greenhouse gases are heavily implicated in climate change.”

His solution: new incentives vs. new taxes.

Sound bite: “Wiser ways and a healthier planet.”

He likes nuclear. And he can pronounce it!

It’s easy being green

Dennis Kucinich makes his green pledge: “massive spending” on mass transit, incentives for wind and solar, green education for kids, and the evils of uranium mining. Next: not-for-profit health care and workplace safety (not sure how that’s green).

In his latest commercial — standard ad fare, not the amusing job interviews for which he has become known — Bill Richardson brags about making New Mexico “a clean energy state” and promises to work the same wonders for America:
