Not surprisingly, the Libertarian candidate enthusiastically applauds the Supreme Court’s landmark Second Amendment ruling today (re: the Washington, D.C. handgun ban). The spot uses a riff from U2’s “Beautiful Day” in its intro and outro. (Bono’s lawyer on line 2, Mr. Barr.)

Bob Barr, ready to run as a libertarian, takes to YouTube to complain about the Nanny State as exemplified in seven warning labels on Christmas-tree lights. From there he complains about government telling you to wear a helmet when you ride a motorcycle.
Here he is on cutting spending and taxes and repealing the 16th Amendment.
Why the Libertarian Party, you may ask? Barr’s answer.
Why not the Republican Party, you may ask? Barr says the GOP is about staying in office.
