The Michigan Republican Party today posted a YouTube video asking Barack Obama “Why did you boycott Michigan for so long? They also charge that “You stiffed our voters” and “You insulted our way of life” (replaying the “bitter” Americans audio bite). What? None of Reverend Wright’s greatest hits? (Wait until October.)

Mmmm, yes because that was totally Barack’s decision from the outset.
Oh, wait, that was the DNC, or if you want to look at the real cause, the Michigan delegates’ self-righteous decision to do their election several months early. They’re lucky they got a seat at all.
Is it lying time already? Or did the RNC ever stop?
I am a Michigander who moved to NY last year (for work, SURPRISE!) but was still registered to vote in Michigan (I own a house there). I intended to drive back to Michigan to vote in the primary for Obama until I found out he wouldn’t even be on the ballot and my only non-Hillary choice would be “uncommitted”, so I re-registered in time for the NY primary so I could vote for him.
As a lifelong resident of Michigan (and Democrat), I can tell you there is little love for Hillz in the Mitten state, so the idea she would have won there (like she did in Ohio and PA) is pretty ludicrous, that is unless there was some late in the primary season funny business with a second vote (and an open primary) that would have opened the door for the wingers to mess with the vote.
With the economy in Michigan, I think there is very little hope McCain is going to be able to win the state, so of course the GOP is going to try to gin up the Ted Nugent militia types with a campaign that inflames their Turner Diary fetish. Hopefully, this won’t fly in the fall.
