The Bush-McCain Challenge

Those MoveOn.org folks are busy, busy, busy. And now they’re doing humor. Their new video — “The Bush-McCain Challenge” — proves yet again that comedy is hard, and political advocacy comedy is even harder.

The Long Good-Bye

A soft-spoken Hillary Clinton thanks her supporters for, uh, just for being her supporters. Oh yeah, and for helping her win the Indiana primary. She says she’s going to keep on campaigning and if anyone wants to help out, she’d be grateful.

McCain Ad: “A Better Way”

John McCain says he’s as green as any Democrat, but he’s got “a better way” to deal with climate change and the environment.

MoveOn.org Winning Ads

The MoveOn.org folks held a contest for the best 30-second ad in support of Barack Obama. Here are the winners:

“Grand Prize” — a Republican vet (white guy) tells why he’s voting for Obama.

“People’s Choice”

“Most Original”

“Best Positive Message”

“Funniest”

But Who’s Counting . . .

Proving that the campaign has gone on far too long, Barack Obama says he’s visited “57 states” during the past 15 months.

Outed as Hillary supporters

Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame Wilson — remember them? — endorse Hillary Clinton.

Joe’s sound bite: “Hillary has the strongest plan for bringing our troops home.”

Aw, Mom

Chelsea Clinton gives her Mom a Mother’s Day present (sadly, she’s not a Superdelegate): a message about what a devoted mother she is. She asks us all to sign her card.

Sound bite: “I want to wish every mother out there a happy Mother’s Day. And remember your little girls can be anything they want to be in America when they grow up. Even if it’s to be the second woman President.” (Or maybe vice president….)

Don’t Mess with Bill

At a town meeting in West Virginia, the former president takes issue with a heckler who said Hillary didn’t do anything about healthcare when she was first lady.

Shy Guy

John (My daddy worked in a mill) Edwards plays coy with the morning talk shows about who he’ll endorse.

Dude!

The Barely Political folks spoof the Bud Light “Dude” commercials.

How Hillary Will Win

Howard Wolfson, Hillary Clinton’s communications director, explains how his candidate can win the Democratic nomination. Something about counting the Florida and Michigan primaries and convincing super-delegates of Clinton’s electability vs. (by implication) Obama’s unelectabilty. Well, that’s their story and they’re stickin’ to it.

Super-Delgate For Sale

California super-delegate Steven Ybarra says $20 million buys his vote. He says he wants a promise from either candidate to spend that money registering Mexican-Americans voters.

McCain on “The Daily Show”

Jon Stewart tells Senator McCain that his appearances on “The Daily Show” resurrected his candidacy. McCain concurs.

Part 1

Part 2

MSM to Hillary: It’s Over

Soon after the North Carolina and Indiana results were final, the mainstream media declared the Democratic race over. Fat chance. The smart money says Hillary plans to keep running even after Obama is inaugurated.

Gravel girl?

Mike Gravel sings and dances to win the heart of Obama Girl. She’s stringing him along….

And from behind the scenes, here’s Gravel learning how to sing. Old dog….

While we’re getting out comic relief, from the same folks, here’s Obama’s stand-up routine…
