Mad Mike Gravel has posted a clip entitled “The Making of Helter Skelter X,” jam-packed with images of the 1960s: The JFK assassination, Malcolm X, Vietnam War atrocities, antiwar protests, LBJ, the Martin Luther King assassination, urban riots, RFK speechifying, the RFK assassination, the ‘68 Democratic Convention riots, etc. etc. etc. All this set to a pounding soundtrack featuring riffs from The Beatles “Helter Skelter.” And signifying . . . ? Now we know why Mike likes to throw large stones in ponds.
