Folksy Fred Thompson may not have turned out to be the second coming of Ronald Reagan as some conservatives had hoped, but he has his moments. At last night’s Republican debate in Orlando, Thompson blasted the Democrats.

Sound Bite: “Whoever their nominee is, they’re going to lead us down the road to a comfortable mediocrity. And that’s not the United States of America I grew up in.”
