Senator Barack Obama unveiled his comprehensive energy plan in a speech yesterday in Portsmouth, NH. After taking a few nuanced swipes at Hillary Clinton, Obama said that he’s the only candidate who can take on the “powerful interests.” His recommendations include raising fuel standards, promoting biofuels, developing renewable sources of energy, eliminating tax breaks for oil companies and funding research to develop a 500 mpg car.
