In a recent poll (June - September 2007) the Gallup folks discovered that — surprise, surprise, surprise — men and women diverge in their “favorable opinion” of Hillary Clinton. Democrats love Hillary, of course. But Democrat women love her more than Democrat men: 83% to 78%. No gender gap for Republican voters: Neither men (14%) nor women (15%) like Clinton much at all. The biggest spread is among Independents: 53% of women dig Hillary vs. 38% for men.
