   This is a major issue. I saw an incredible movie on this topic last year called Can Mr. Smith Get to Washington Anymore (www.mrsmithmovie.com). I think it was on the Oscar short list or something. Incredible movie really hammers home the problems with dynasties in this country and how hard it is to bring about change. I heard that it is coming out on NetFlix soon but I wonder if it will make it online before the election because the “suprise ending” you mention is not very far fetched at all. Disgusting!

   I think it’ll become an issue even before the nomination. It did, at these debates, with Edwards saying that triangulation wasn’t going to fix the last 8 years of Bush hell. He was talking about Bill Clinton’s strategy, and it was a preview of what’s to come from Obama and Edwards.

   I completely agree. At this point the polls show that a majority of the party would like to find an alternative to creating another dynasty. Additionally I suspect that many of those who have been pressured into supporting Clinton feel the same way. There is comfort in returning to the same old brands but Obama, Edwards and the others will need to convince Democrats that they want to break the cycle and/or that they should fear that Clinton is a risk as the nominee because she will not be viewed as a change agent in a “change” election.

   Does it make sense for Status Quo Hillary to call herself the candidate of change? American politics have sunk to 3rd world levels, where candidates simply argue for their constituent’s turn at the feeding trough. We need to take a new direction, not simply switch between the policies of two regimes.
