Ready, aim, shoot the video

Sam Brownback poses at a gun show about — surprise, surprise — the Second Amendment.

Sound bite: “I don’t like the violence that’s taking place. But the answer is not getting rid of the guns.”

Guns don’t vote. NRA members vote.

The answer, he says, “is getting the people back into healthy families.” Which people?

Sound bite: “I think we need to talk about safety. I think we need to look at is as a dangerous instrumentality and not glorify violence in our culture or our entertainment. But the Second Amendment is a right.” Say what? You figure it out:

    Jeff,

I thought PrezVid was about the candidates using YouTube to communicate with voters, not for you to force your commentary on what you think is right or how people should vote? Yes every candidate is trying to get votes and speaking at a Gun Show is no different than any other event.

Clearly if you watched this video with an open mind, the Senator does a very good job of explaining his position on guns including that this is right given to us by the founders of this country for every day citizens to protect themselves. Your sound bite does nothing but try and make the Senator look foolish by pulling 5 seconds out of an almost 2 minute video. And your comments regarding the NRA show that you don’t care so much any more about using YouTube to communicate with an audience - even if that audience is pro gun.

How does the Senator connect with people via the video? No commentary on the lack of enthusiasm when the crowd walks by? I guess you’ve grown tired of trying to help understand how YouTube is changing politics and you are now trying to use PrezVid to get the people you care about get elected. Nicely done.

    Leon
