Michael Moore was in Washington, DC early this week promoting his new film SiCKO — and talking a lot about what’s wrong with healthcare in America. Not surprisingly, Michelle Malkin takes issue with Moore’s proposals.
*MORE: From LA Times — “Sicko leaves top Democrats ill at ease. Leading candidates are sidestepping direct comment on filmmaker Michael Moore’s proposals for universal healthcare.” Full Story here.
Interesting, sorta - but it’s not about the Presidential race and therefore I’m not sure it belongs on the site. Political videos are a pretty wide focus…I liked the narrowness of what I thought the PrezVid idea was.
I take your point but healthcare is a major issue in the ‘08 campaign. And Moore’s film and his comments are a catalyst for more discussion of the issue. Malkin’s video adds to that conversation.
Agreed that this should not be on here. There are 24 hour news channels and talk radio if I want to hear a pundit. As Moore is not a pundit in the traditional sense, he’s OK - but Malkin commenting on him is not.
I walk away from the site if this happens again.
Holy CRAP you have some fickle readers. Considering they’re nowhere to be seen when it comes to commenting on other posts and generating a real dialog on these subjects (I’m still surprised by the lack of comments on what I consider to be a pretty important blog), I wonder where these whiners find a leg to stand on? It took my brain about 0.2 seconds to read and process “Malkin on Moore” in my feed reader, and if I didn’t want to read about “pundits,” a quick tap of the spacebar would have moved me along. Good gravy.
I started this so let me say - I love the site and think it’s a great idea. I like how narrow the focus is. I haven’t commented on anything else because I like everything else, but haven’t had anything to say about it.
I think a video blog about Healthcare would be great, by the way. I know - I could start one (I blog about it a lot) but I’m no Jeff Jarvis…
