Gravel against the elements

Jon Stewart showed this video three times last night. Mike Gravel stares at the camera for a minute, then throws a rock in a pond, then walks away. That’s it. Really. Don’t believe me? Watch

And then here’s one of him setting a fire that then burns for almost seven minutes.

I have no idea what this is about. The four elements? Next he breaths air? Then he looks into space?

Maybe he really is a nutty as he seems.

    Um. Wow. And, guffaw.

I have a teleconference with NASA in 8 hours for which I still have a few hours of programming and powerpointing yet to do, but ALL I WANT TO DO NOW is work on creative voiceovers for that footage. Holy Jack Handy inspiration.

Ugh. Stupid NASA. Crazy Mike. Awesome YouTube.

They are metaphorical. In the first one, he’s sending ripples through a pond, not with a pebble, but with a small boulder. In the second, he’s lighting a fire (metaphorically speaking), under the democratic process and Democratic Party.

They may be the best campaign spots I’ve ever seen.

Clearly the rock Gravel threw hit MelGX in the head.

OK, I like him. Not sure “president” is the best career path, but I like him.
And what is that in the last 4 seconds of the “rock” video? It looks like someone is coming up out of the water center background.
    Very “Enemy of the State”.

And a question: What’s with the foghorns up in the mountains?

Clearly PonRaul does not dig the foreign films.

Not presidentially related but Gravel inspired my last contribution to the 10th congressional district special election.
