John Edwards wins a Father of the Year award and tells a stirring story about climbing a mountain with his late son:
Uh, would it be untoward to wonder how going on the road constantly even as the mother of your children is battling cancer qualifies one as father of the year? Well, I suppose it was an easy win over Rudy Giuliani.
I guess it would be impossible to troll rate you on your own web page. The kids are with the family now that school is out, traveling the country. Elizabeth could die tomorrow, or she could live another 5 years. But, you’re right, she should go home and die quietly, not continue living.
For those of us who don’t want to sit through 5 minutes of the Westchester Dog Show, I mean a John Edwards speech, which mountain was he talking about? “Climbing a mountain” isn’t generally synonymous with “hiking up a mountain”; I suspect he was talking about the latter.
