Newt: “Great Possibility”

That’s what Newt Gingrich said on Good Morning America yesterday when Diane Sawyer asked if he was going to run for President. What did he mean? Who knows. Right now he says he’s focused on an online “workshop” scheduled for September 27 called “Solutions Day.” Go here to see what that’s all about.

Howard Kurtz in The Washington Post on “The Gingrich Tease.”

Here’s what he says on his site:

The former Speaker has been clear and consistent. With regard to the ABC News interview today on Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer, Newt will not contemplate a candidacy for President until after September 29. On September 27 and 29, he will conduct a nationwide American Solutions seminar called Solutions Day. He will be directing his full attention toward that day.

He has made no efforts toward organizing a campaign for President. He is no closer to making a decision today than he was yesterday or will be four months from now.

* JARVIS ADDS: With Gingrich teasing, I wanted to see what his presence on YouTube looked like. It leads off with a plug for his book, Pearl Harbor. Considering Newt’s problem with advances for prior books, I guess he’s getting all his literary ambitions out of the way while he can.
