Duncan Hunter in YouTube’s Spotlight

It’s Republican Duncan Hunter’s turn in YouTube’s YouChoose ‘08 Spotlight and he gets a little more creative than the previous candidates. Hunter proposes a “Patriot Contest.” He talks about celebrating American heroes - citing his son, a marine who has already served two tours in Iraq and has recently been called back as a reservist - and asks viewers to submit one-minute videos describing their heroes. He’ll then pick the three most “compelling” videos,” talk to those winners about their ideas for America and feature the clips on his site.

So we here in America call those men and women we send off to die in a foreign land “heroes.” And the Iraqis call those young men they send off to defend their homes “martyrs.” Sir, your son is a hero. Bring him home now and give him a heros welcome.

    Dear Adammanuus,
Our main job is to train the Iraqi Army so it can defend their free goverment from the Jihadists (Al-Qaeda or Iran).
