A Gallup poll conducted in March-April 2007 breaks down Republican demographics, showing that “moderate and liberal Republicans are more likely to favor presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani than conservative Republicans, although Giuliani is the leader among both groups . . . Senator ohn McCain’s support is relatively constant across these two groupings.”
The overall numbers show Giuliani at 35%, McCain with 20%, and current non-candidate Fred Thompson in third place with 11%.
