Mitt Romney, the first candidate to take part in YouTube’s YouChoose ‘08 Spotlight posted a video last week in which he asked viewers/voters: “What is the greatest challenge facing America.” There were 66 responses - some good, some bad, some ugly. Romney has now put up three responses:
1) Mitt addresses high school teacher David Colarusso on “remaining nimble in a changing world and the importance of education reform:”
David Colarusso’s video:
2) Georgetown student James Kotecki asked Romney for his views on the longterm issues of globalization and technological development.
James Kotecki’s video
And, not surprisingly, here’s Kotecki’s video response to Mitt’s response.
3) Some viewers thought Romney should be answering questions not asking them. Mitt’s response: “When I asked YouTubers what they believe is America’s single greatest challenge, several turned the question back on me. Here’s my answer.”
Jeff Jarvis’s video:
Sorry, but I had to turn Mitt off after he said, “I see the biggest problem as the spread of fundamentalist jihad.” The interesting question is not what threatens progress but how we’ll shape the direction of progress or even agree about the definition of progress. Is his vision to take us back to 10 Sep 2001?
